Ameristar Poker Room Kansas City

I have played here for a HPT and then last weekend for a little $150 Bounty. They had 4 tables going, so a bit smaller than I am used to seeing, and overall a friendly manager and capable dealers, though a bit on the mechanical side rather than being friendly/welcoming/social. The bounty was a bit odd - you filled out a little card the dealer had and you got two green chips to cash in later. Play was solid, though there seemed to be more nits and calling stations than regulars and it was not a huge challenge to get down to the money without having to risk stacks. Food was pretty good and reasonable. Bathrooms are close by and there is a decent poker cage in the room. All in all a nice place for a tourney, on the second floor of a nice casino.
